The Green Goose was an idea hatched in the garden of a Napier bungalow by three plant-loving enthusiasts. Our dream was to share our love of plants and bring some clean-air joy to the people of Hawke’s Bay.
The dream took flight and The Green Goose is here to spread joy through creative plant design. Locally owned and operated, passionate about all things botanical, we love how plants bring a space to life, create atmosphere and enhance any environment they flourish in. We love design and using plants and accessories that fit the character of a space and the people that live, work or play in it.
We may be a small company but we make up for it in ideas and execution. One frond at a time, we’re here to make Hawke’s Bay a more beautiful and healthy place to live.

Guy
Behind every great plant is a great gardener and Guy, well he’s our guy. Salt of the earth, kind and hardworking, Guy has 15 years’ experience in the landscaping industry. His love of the outdoors and nature shows through in his work. He’s a wealth of knowledge when it comes to plants – indoor and outdoor – and he’s always willing to go the extra mile to create something special.
Jo
A sales and marketing specialist with more than 15 years of experience, Jo has a sharp brain and a love of all things green. She enjoys the life and beauty plants have created within her home, while helping to create calm amongst the chaos of life with three small children. Jo is a passionate creative and loves bringing new ideas to life.
Lucy
The almond in the croissant, the mint in a mojito, Lucy is the essential ingredient in The Green Goose – without her, it just wouldn’t make sense. Even the company is named after her! Professional, smart and unflappable (surprising when we’re talking geese), Lucy keeps the green machine moving and is responsible for important behind the scenes bits from customer service to accounts.
